Kate’s way of Avoiding the Limelight and Upstaging Brides at Weddings is Pretty Impressive

The whole world just witnessed the wedding of the year – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding ceremony which was held on 19 May 2018 in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom. It was a glorious day to see a fairytale-like wedding come to life and, of course, the couple’s bright smiles and tears of joy were hard to miss.

Apart from all eyes falling on the newlywed Duke and Duchess, there was quite a train of fashion goals that we can’t stop admiring.

First of all, let’s not forget the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton wearing a pale yellow Alexander McQueen coat for the wedding. The 36-year-old, mother of three completed the outfit by pairing it with Philip Treacy fascinator hat, Jimmy Choo heels, Kiki McDonough lemon Quartz, diamond pear, and oval drop earrings.
The interesting part is being a royalty, Meghan’s sister-in-law Kate has worn this particular coat multiple times.

I know that in the Fashion Industry some high profile deliberates curses people who repeat an outfit especially if they are someone popular and famous. But that notion was nowhere near this Duchess because she repeated them more than twice and still looked stunning.

She wore the outfit for the first time for Princess Charlotte’s christening on July 2015.

The second time she wore it was at the at Trooping of the color in June 2016.

And the most recent was during her visit to Belgium back in July last year for the Passchendaele commemoration.

I think it’s natural and normal to be attached to certain dresses. It happens to everyone. And also since the pale yellow coat was a garment piece by Alexander McQueen, I think it adds a lot of essence to the emotional attachment on her behalf because Kate’s wedding gown was also designed by the late designer. She kept it simple and poised with the color choice and the whole pieces, and that’s what you wanna keep in mind at a wedding ceremony because you don’t wanna overstep the bride. And in her case, the new bride being her brother-in-law’s bride.

Well, this ain’t exactly the first time Duchess Kate has repeated her outfits, here are some more outfit twins.

A pale grey coat by Katherine Hooker, which the Duchess wore it for the first time at the Order of the Garter ceremony in 2011.

And wore it again on June 2012 for the wedding of Prince William’s cousin Emily McCorquodale to James Hutt.

Also, this £36 Topshop polka dot dress which she wore on the opening of the Warner Bros Studios in April 2013.

Wore it again a month later on the wedding of William van Cutsem and Rosie Ruck Keene.

Day Birger et Mikkelsen coat which she wore at Laura Parker Bowles’ wedding in 2006.

And revamped it again on Zara and Mike Tindall’s marriage in 2011.

I must say the Duchess of Cambridge has a lot of hand at what she wants to wear regarding her strict ruled closet history of the Crown and the family belonging to it. She looks fabulous in all of them and we love her sense of style.

Right after 21 days later she wore the same dress at Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall’s pre-wedding party on July 29, 2011.

Here are some more pictures of Kate repeating few dresses on other public events.

We adored both wedding ceremonies, simplicity and elegance of both the Duchesses; can’t wait to see what Duchess Markle brings to the plate on the fashion side of Buckingham Palace.

In case you haven’t noticed yet, Kensington Palace just released the official wedding pictures of the Royal wedding on Monday morning the 21st of May 2018.

The first picture is of the Royal Family consisting of Meghan and Harry (a.k.a. the Duke and Duchess of Sussex), the Queen and Prince Philip, Doria Ragland, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the page boys and bridesmaids (a group that includes Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as well as the Mulroney 7-year-old twin boys, Brian and John, who carried Meghan’s veil into the chapel).

These photographs were taken by Alexi Lubomirski.

As far as fashion and style go, I think these two Royal couples will compliment each other very well. Congratulations to the newlyweds and also to William&Kate on their baby boy Louis.
